Enrollment of persons liable to military duty in Orange County, by towns, 1862. Records from the Town of Newburgh consisting of assessment rolls, 1802 and 1822, minute book of the Commissioners of the Alms-House, 1853-1880, concerning staff, reports from committees, some individual cases, and support for the families of Civil War soldiers, and a book recording oaths of office, 1824-1833. Records from the Village and City of Newburgh consisting of assessment rolls, 1833-1871; letter book containing copies of letters regarding supplies, payment of bills, and the abilities of John Carter as a paver, 1835, notices for 1851-1853, and minutes from Board of Trustee meetings, 1864-1865; payroll account book of the Street Superintendent, 1894-1895; and minutes of the Common Council, 1876-1878, with clippings of notices, reports, and published letters to the Council.
